Keywest are a 5 piece Rock/Pop band who recently signed a world wide publishing deal in the US after working with Grammy nominated producer/mixer Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Metro Station, My Chemical Romance). Their much anticipated debut album is due for release on the 27th of January and is expected to top the charts.

2011 has seen Keywest perform at the likes of Oxegen, West Fest, Galway Arts Festival and Rose of Tralee. Along with packed out college venues for UCD, UCC, DCU, NUIG, along with many others. Most recently, Keywest rocked a sold out Academy headline show in October.

With one of the largest facebook fanbases (over 19,000), Keywest continue to uphold their reputation as one of the largest growing and most sought after bands in the country. They have been interviewed on all the top radio stations across the nation as well as appearanced on national TV shows such as ‘The Late Late Show’, Keywest have seen their radio play soar with the release of their chart topping hits.

The band has made numerous appearances on national TV and radio as well as a high profile gigs such as Oxegen 2010, (Vodafone Stage) Arthurs Day opening for Paolo Nutini and The Rose of Tralee Festival. Co-producer of their self-written debut album “The Message”, Los Angeles based and Grammy Nominated Mark Needham, whose credits include “The Killers” “Neon Trees” and “We are Scientists” says, “Keywest are one of my top tips to breakthrough this year, there has been a real buzz about the band here in Los Angeles ahead of their debut album release”.

With a diverse selection of influences ranging from old–school legends like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, to more contemporary bands like, U2 Snow Patrol, The Killers, Keywest have been building up a dedicated and committed fan base over the last 12 months. That range of influences is reflected in the songs on the highly anticipated debut album. The album features songs such as “Messages from God,” one of several tracks fueled by lead singer Andy Kavanagh’s powerful voice, the reved up–up “Road to Damnation,” mixed with more introspective tracks like “Cruel” (co-written with Aaron Kamin from The Calling) and Train , a heartfelt acoustic track co-written with Grammy Award winning producer /writer , Charlie Midnight (Billy Joel/Joni Mitchell/James Brown).
